Habitat for Humanity

We seek to serve the local community through the Austin Habitat for Humanity program assisting in the building of homes alongside the families who will live there once completed.  Twice a year, members of our church community participate on an Episcopal build or an all faith build in Austin. There is usually a build in the fall and one in the spring. Each build takes about 16 weeks to complete and we typically provide a construction crew for two Saturdays. Most build Saturdays are limited to workers over sixteen years old. However, on days when there are no power tools in use, it is possible for families with young children to join in for landscaping days. Sign up for a Saturday and be prepared to work from 8:00a-3:00p. Volunteers are also needed to help provide lunches for our group or other groups on Saturday during the build.
